First let me say everyone from valet to all the servers wished me a happy Mother's Day. And the menu was perfect! Blackstone added some "specials" to the menu which was kid friendly meals ( that was huge!).
The food and service were outstanding. The sushi special was fantastic and my prosciutto wrapped Chilean sea bass was out of this world. It was cooked to perfection! The sides were perfect . I had the sushi! The rolls were big and the fish was so fresh! Let me also had that we are all bread eaters. When the first plate of bread was gone, the waiter brought us another plate of bread before we even had a chance to ask for more! that to us was amazing! And the bread was excellent too!

Almost everything was great however this visit fell short of the service I normally receive. Everyone did their job and exceeded our expectations except for our waiter. He lacked the ability to make a recommendation or perhaps he wasn't familiar with the wine list or food menu. He seemed like he wasn't in a good mood. He took our appetizers before we were even done with it because he said the food was coming out. Well the food didn't come out for another 10 minutes. Then it was difficult to get our drinks refilled. We were seated at the big roundtable in the back corner with an open roof as the sun was setting. The ambience was gorgeous, hip, sophisticated and almost a Los Angeles feel. The service was absolutely excellent. My 8 year old enjoyed her meal. The prices were high but you get what you pay for. Full portions, good quality food. Wine and coffee were superb! While very good, the boneless sirloin, medium rare was somewhat dry and a little chewy. Definitely not worth the $ 47.00. this is my second visit with a disappointing steak. On prior visits one and two years ago, the steak was amazing. On this visit we started with sushi which was simply wonderful. One of the steak side dishes, onion rings were perfect. Broccoli raab is better left to home cooking or local Italian restaurants. The best of all was the donut dessert served warm and sprinkled with white chocolate and raspberry. My son was turning 15 and we took him for his first real steakhouse experience. The staff had read that it was his birthday from my OpenTable reservation and started off wishing him a happy birthday at the door. The food was outstanding - few places can do both sushi and steak perfectly. The prices were not for every day, but the portions were large and we took home plenty. We weren't ordering dessert, but they brought something out with candles for my son - without my ever asking - on the house. After the meal they said that this steak was just as good but we didn't have to travel as far. I am a vegetarian and when I told them this they made me a special dish.
