Only thing is it can be very crowded but even so...when I've eaten there on Saturday nights..it wasn't a problem. Chaya Venice is one of those rare restaurants that manages to provide superb food and great atomosphere at reasonble prices and in place that you won't feel uncomfortable bringing your kids. For that reason, I call it a neighborhood gem, but that might understate it. However, we were very disappointed that, despite having made a reservation far in advance, we were seated in the bar area - not the main dining room. We were insulted that we were not, at least, given other options. However, given that the bar has the only TV in the place, there was some consolation in being able to watch the NCAA Basketball tournament during our meal. Otherwise we had a very enjoyable experience, as usual. The service was great and made up for much of our disappointment regarding the seating.
