Elm Street Oyster House
needs a clean up....Food was good, really fresh fish, but the place needs a little sprucing up. We sat a very shaky table that was rocking from side to side, like being aboard a fishing boat!
But we will return. Their restaurant in Mt. Kisco, Lexington Square is also good, very friendly staff not as snobby as the Greenwich staff!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGet the oysters!!!The freshest most delicious raw oysters I've ever had!!
Days later I'm still talking about them. The staff were friendly and very accommodating.
Definitely bringing visiting friends to this spot!!! Great dining experience.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and wine. ServiceGreat food and wine. Service was odd. Server really wasn't interested in serving and we had a different server after we got our entrees. Servic needs work but everything else was spot on.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA GemWhat a find! Best oysters in CT hands down. And the service was astounding. We were treated like old friends. We were late due to I95 traffic so we called and they just said "just get here safely". Everything was ready when we got there. I would definetly recommend this to friends and family with children or not.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMcreative menu and has thecreative menu and has the flexibility to accommodate personal requests.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, nice setting,Great food, nice setting, very good service. The only issue we had is they are not so good at predicting how long parties will sit at their tables, which resulted in our waiting nearly a half an hour for our table after the time of our reservation. The restaurant kindly bought us a glass of wine which made the wait more pleasant, but I still would have preferred to avoid the wait. In all, still a very nice evening and very good food. Just don't go with tired feet!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways dependableMasterful ability to cook each individual species of fish to its best advantage. Very good selection of beers on tap.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a fabulous mealElm Street has always been a favorite of mine. We've been going there for years and hope it stays around for a good long time. My only complaint, and it's minor, is that I feel the prices are really creeping up. But that's Greenwich.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Seafood in TownFabulous, fresh seafood dishes. The food is consistently great. The atmosphere is reminiscent of NYC: a narrow, bustling space with high ceilings and a fun, albeit noisy, energy.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a small space whichThis is a small space which can seem very cramped when it is full, which is often. We were there this time on a Sunday night which was very laid back by comparison and all the bottles of wine are half price. The food is great. Not cheap but good seafood never is.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was great. Owner wasFood was great. Owner was extremely generous and concerned that we had to wait a bit for a table despite our reservation, even though we never complained. He was most accommodating. well worth another visit soon.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat birthday lunch for myGreat birthday lunch for my mom. Great seafood prepared in different ways.
