Ricardo's RestaurantPretty Good for our 2nd VisitFood was good although not as good as the 1st visit we made. We ordered some of the same items that we ordered on our first visit which included a Filet Mignon for 2 and it was not nearly as tender and flavorful as it had been the first time. This entree was not cheap at $72.00 so I expected it to be every bit as flavorful and tasty as the 1st time we tried it. Our dinner was still very good. We would only eat here for special occasions for a group of us because it is on the pricey side. Still, if you are looking for a special restaurant with really good food and excellent service, then I would suggest trying this place. I've eaten at many local and comparably priced restaurants and the food is not nearly as good.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Date NightMy husband and I found Ricardo's on a rare night when our son was on a sleep over. From the very minute we stepped in the doors we felt welcome and,even though we showed up 45 minutes to close, the whole staffed seemed super jazzed to be there. My husband ordered the filet and it was mouth watering delish. The steak is dry aged and the care is evident in the buttery texture. I had the fresh duck ravioli. They were huge and I actually was frustrated when I was full.
Everything from the fresh salad to the creamy creme brûlée was perfect. I'm so glad we stopped in for date night. Moist, super favor, etc. My wife had the crab pasta which was great, but I almost felt bad eating the pork in front of her as she loved the bite she had so much. Highly recommend. Great bread too!!!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazingThe food at Ricardo's was some of the best food I've ever eaten. Me and my date ordered the goat cheese appetizer, which was fantastic. They serve you a small, sliced loaf of bread, with a kind of dipping sauce made with white truffle oil and a mix of herbs. I ordered the ribeye steak, and she ordered a pasta (I cannot recall the name). Hands-down, that steak was the best steak I've ever had, typically when I order steak medium-well, it comes back to me almost well-done, or unevenly cooked, but not this one. After dinner we split the tiremensu, a delicately light dessert; perfect after the large meal we had. The portions are reasonable, we just do not each much to begin with.
